POST-MASTECTOMY RECONSTRUCTION TATTOO Over the next 14 to 21 days your tattooed area will go through three stages of healing: Heal: The body’s natural defences will create fine scabs to protect the area whilst healing. Peel: After a few days, when the tattooed area is healed, the scabs will naturally fall off. Do Not Pick off the scabs from the treated area as this will result in pigment loss and possible scarring. Fade: Once the scabs have finely healed and fallen off the tattooed area, you will see a lighter shade of the implanted colour. After 4/6 weeks the pigment in the tattoo will have settled and this will be the colour of your nipple and areola. At this time you should have your touch-up appointment.  The following instructions must be carefully followed for 14 days after your tattoo to ensure a successful result and to reduce the risk of infection: Day 1 to 3 - Immediately after procedure keep areola covered with the aftercare bandage provided by the artist. Do not remove this bandage at all for 3 days. Showering is okay because the bandage is waterproof. Day 4 - Remove the clear bandage. Gently clean the areola with warm water and gentle soap (you can use Dove sensitive or other sensitive soap that is unscented).  You can clean the areola in the shower as long as you don't rub, or you can wet a gauze or q-tip with water and soap and gently clean the areola. Gently dry the area, do not rub, and apply a small amount of aftercare ointment provided in your aftercare kit. Cover the areola with a gentle pad or gauze to avoid friction against clothing. Day 5 to 14 - Apply aftercare ointment ones or twice a day and keep area covered with a pad or gauze. RESTRICTIONS: DO NOT soak in a pool, bath, or hot tub until your tattoo is completely healed. This usually takes about 2 weeks. DO NOT peel off any crust or scab that forms on the area, this can pull away the ink on your tattoo or cause possible scarring. DO NOT exercise (such as run, do yoga, or cycle) for 1 week after your procedure or while there’s scabbing. If you’re in physical therapy, it’s okay to continue after your procedure. DO NOT lift anything heavier than 20 pounds (9 kilograms) for 1 week after your procedure or while there’s scabbing. You can wear a bra at any time.
BELLY BUTTON RESTORATIVE TATTOO Immediately after procedure keep tattoo covered with the aftercare pad put on by the artist. Remove this pad after 1 to 2 hours and begin the aftercare regime: Day 1 - After you remove the pad it should be thrown away. Get a q-tip wet with warm water and soap (use a gentle unscented soap such as Dove sensitive bar, dial soap, etc.) & gently clean the tattooed area.  Then softly pat dry with a clean towel and air dry before applying your aftercare ointment provided in your aftercare kit. Day 2 to 7 - Wash the tattooed area twice a day (morning and night), as described above. Be sure to wash off old layer of ointment every time you wash the area. Dab or blot dry the skin gently. Apply a small amount of aftercare ointment each time after washing the area. Day 7 to 14 Days - With clean hands, apply a small amount, creating a thin layer, of aftercare ointment 2-3 times a day. IMPORTANT: If you do not clean the area heavy scabbing will form. If you do scab, stop cleaning area and only apply aftercare ointment 2 to 3 times a day.   RESTRICTIONS: DO NOT swim, soak in a hot tub, or wet your tattoo for 14 days. Cover the area when showering to avoid any contact with steam or water. DO NOT tan or sunburn. Avoid sun exposure. DO NOT scratch your tattoo; It will itch during the healing process. This process can last up to two weeks. DO NOT peel scabs that form. This will cause pigment to peel off or possible scarring. DO NOT exercise for 7 days.
LASH LIFT No touching, rubbing, brushing, or wetting lashes for the first 24 hours. Avoid sweating, hot showers, saunas and any steam. When washing lashes, avoid using soap and just rinse with water. Soap will make the tint fade faster. Always wash, brush, and dry in an upward motion. Avoid sleeping on lashes. Apply oil provided in aftercare kit as needed. Do not use harsh or waterproof eye makeup or mascara that will need scrubbing to be removed. Recommended Times for Appointments 8 to 10 Weeks
